Netflix Packages & Monthly Prices Update

Netflix Packages & Monthly Prices Update

If you are looking for Netflix’s monthly package prices, then you are in the right place. Netflix is your go-to channel for movies and streaming content, especially if you are a movie fan. The Netflix platform has gained steady popularity over the years and is now arguably the most popular streaming platform worldwide.

What Is Netflix?

For those of you who don’t know about Netflix, here is a bit about the platform.

Netflix, managed as Netflix Inc is a public company that provides a streaming service where viewers watch their favorite award-winning movies, TV shows, and even documentaries, among others, seamlessly. One major feature about Netflix is that you get to watch on lots of connected devices.

To use Netflix requires a monthly subscription with various packages ranging from 6.99$ to 20$ as at the time of writing this article. Viewers can pay low amounts monthly to enjoy these movies and TV shows, along with content that is constantly updated.

Do not forget, though, that Netflix requires a data internet connection for streaming. Since this service is not a cable TV subscription but an online service, you need internet data to stream. Netflix is incredibly fast, so you don’t need to worry about lagging or slow streaming. Another good thing is that you are allowed to download your favorite content so you can watch it offline later.

There are various subscription packages that you can choose from to enjoy Netflix.  You can always subscribe to the streaming service according to your budget.

The plan you choose will also determine the number of devices that you can use to stream your movies. If you don’t want to use your browser, you will have to download the Netflix app from your smartphone’s Play Store or Microsoft Store for PC Windows. Below are the various Netflix packages you can choose from.

Netflix Payment Methods

Netflix has its main payment method as credit cards or debit cards.  Currently, in Ghana, you can not pay with MoMo, although you can pay with an MTN MoMo debit card in other African countries like Uganda; it is not yet available in Ghana.

We believe MTN Momo Card is going to be available even by the time you are reading this, and I promise you I will add the steps when MTN Momo Card becomes available in Ghana.

Netflix To Charge For Account Sharing

Netflix recently announced that it may start charging users who share their account details with other people to stream. This may probably affect people or friends who do not live in the same household. Here is what the Netflix Team said.

“We’ve landed on a thoughtful approach to monetize account sharing, and we’ll begin rolling this out more broadly starting in early 2023,” Netflix wrote in a letter to shareholders.

“After listening to consumer feedback, we are going to offer the ability for borrowers to transfer their Netflix profile into their own account, and for sharers to manage their devices more easily and to create sub-accounts (’extra member’), if they want to pay for family or friends.”

It’s currently unclear what the exact fee will be for each additional sub-account, though a piloted version of the feature launched earlier this year could offer some insight.
