Accessing University of Ghana MIS Web Portal.

The MIS Web portal is the University of Ghana’s online platform for UG students to manage their academic activities online. Students can easily log in to the University of Ghana MIS Web to register for courses, add and drop courses, as well as check their student dashboard for information like fees and academic transcripts.

The University of Ghana MIS Web portal serves as an all-in-one platform that serves as a student’s academic registration and information companion. Let’s take a look at how to access the MIS Web portal and what you can use it for.

How To Access The UG MIS Web Portal.

  1. Visit the MIS Web portal using this link.
  2. Input your student number in the student field.
  3. Enter your PIN. If you are new, then you should enter your default PIN and change it before you log in.
  4. Click on the Change PIN button to change your PIN. Enter your new PIN in the space provided, and click on Change PIN.
  5. Click on login if you already have your PIN, and it will sign you in and open the dashboard.

Getting Started With the University of Ghana MIS Web

  • Visit the MIS Web portal and log in.
  • Enter your student Number and PIN.
  • On the left side, click on the Academic Registration drop-down menu.
    Note that you can only register if you have successfully been admitted to study at the University Of Ghana.
  • Note that if you have not paid your fees or it has not been 48 hours since you made payment,  you can’t register for courses. Contact your department for assistance.
  • Tap on the tick button to accept the rules and regulations agreement to proceed.
  • Select Add Subjects to registration, and after that, to verify your selection to continue, the cost of registration will be displayed.
  • You will receive a congratulatory message to confirm your registration. Save and print proof of registration for future reference.

Steps for Dropping Courses

  • Log in to the MIS Web portal with your ID number and PIN.
  • On the left side, click on the Academic Registration drop-down menu.
  • Click on “Subject Cancellation” to see the list of courses you have registered for. To cancel courses from the list, click on the small box close to the course code and title, and indicate your reason for canceling from the drop-down list next to the course.
  • Click on “Save Subject Cancellation”.
  • View to check if the changes have been applied by selecting the student inquiry under the student iEnabler.
  • Click on “Printer Friendly Format” and print proof of registration
  • Click on log out to exit, especially if you use a public computer or device.

How to Reset Your MIS Web PIN.

Resetting your forgotten MIS Web PIN is easy and straightforward. Follow the steps below to reset your MIS Web PIN.

  1. On the login page where you need to input your student ID and PIN, you will find options below to reset your lost PIN.
  2. Type in your student ID number and then click on the ‘Forgot PIN’ button.
  3. You will be sent a PIN reset mail to the email address associated with your account.
  4. Check your inbox and follow the instructions to reset the PIN.
  5. Now you can log in with your ID number and new PIN.
