Black Sherif won the Best International Flow at the 2023 BET Awards

Ghanaian music sensation, Black Sherif, is celebrating a monumental achievement as he clinches the prestigious Best International Flow category award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards. This remarkable win comes on the heels of Black Sherif’s extraordinary ascent in the music industry over the past two years.

In a fierce competition that brought together outstanding talents from across the globe, Black Sherif emerged victorious, leaving formidable contenders in his wake. Among those he outshone were AKA (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), J Hus (UK), K.O (South Africa), Major RD (Brazil), Ninho (France), Sampa The Great (Zambia), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).

The grand event, at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, October 3, is set to captivate audiences when it airs on October 10, 2023.

This year’s nomination marked the second time Black Sherif graced the Best International Flow category. In 2022, he was also nominated but narrowly missed the award, which went to Benjamin EPPS.

Notably, Black Sherif follows in the footsteps of Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie, who made history in 2019 by securing victory in the newly established category, Best International Flow, at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards promises to be a thrilling spectacle, featuring electrifying performances by renowned artists like Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Bow Wow, and Ludacris, among others.
