Deputy Majority Leader Confirms Date For Ghana’s 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review

The Deputy Majority Leader, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, has officially disclosed the date that the Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, will present the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament.

He stated that the budget review is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025, while giving the business statement in Parliament on Friday, July 11.

The deputy majority leader stressed the importance of this mid-year review in his speech, saying that it would give important information about how the 2025 budget is being carried out and give the people a better idea of how Ghana’s economy and finances have been doing so far.

It will show how different parts of the economy have done and how the government is doing in meeting its financial goals. Ricketts-Hagan, who is the deputy majority leader, confirmed on the floor of Parliament that

“the mid-year review will take place on Thursday, the 24th of July.”

The Deputy Majority Leader also added that the report that is expected will not only talk about the economic successes, but also any problems that came up during the budget implementation. This will help people get a full picture of Ghana’s financial situation and what steps are being taken.
