Facts About Chairman Wontumi

Chairman Wontumi is a popular Ghanaian politician and serves currently as the Chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He was born as Bernard Antwi Bosiako on 1st May 1976 in the Ashanti region. There is not much-known bout his parents and siblings.

Wontumi has become a maverick and rich politician in Ghana and a strong member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). His boldness and no-nonsense attitude place him on the shoulders of the great politicians who have made a name for themselves in times past.

Apparently, not much is known about his parents, but he has once confessed that he came from a very poor background with a modest upbringing. Although there have been several reports that Chairman Wontumi is uneducated but he has always insisted that he attended Prempeh College in Kumasi in 1996, just to refute the allegations that he’s illiterate.

Speaking about the source of his wealth during an interview with Delay, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman for the Ashanti Region, revealed that he started building his wealth at a young age, bragging that he owns “about 100” houses in Kumasi alone.

As revealed by Lawyer Maurice Ampaw on Wontumi TV, Chairman Wontumi is married to two women. His first wife is known as Michylina Antwi Bosiako. Not much is known about his second wife and children because he has kept them away from the public eye.

 Networth

Chairman Wontumi is worth around $10 million. He’s currently among the rich politicians in the country at the moment, placing him in the same league as Kennedy Agyapong and the likes. He also owns a Gold mine company in Obuasi and other parts of the country. He’s also in the media business. He’s the CEO of Wontumi media and group of communications.
