How To Buy ECG Prepaid Online In Ghana

With the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) rolling out an all-new set of Prepaid meters, you must certainly train yourself to be well abreast with the new normal.

Especially when the rollout seeks to achieve better customer service and an efficient metering system, so everyone gets electricity power at their convenience.

What app do you need to make online purchases?

Carefully but precisely, three apps for online purchases of prepaid cards will be discussed. These apps are useful for the online purchase of prepaid. These apps can both be found on the App Store and Google Play Store on your smartphones.

These apps are;

  • EGC mobile app(ECG Power)
  • Epower
  • E-prepaid

What is the mode of payment for online Prepaid purchases?

Online purchases of ECG prepaid can be successfully transacted by making payments. You can easily make payments through your Mobile Money accounts.

All you need to do is link your mobile money accounts to the prepaid purchasing platform you have on your phones.

ECG Mobile App (ECG Power)

It is a full-featured App to buy power anywhere, anytime, instantly. It also enables clients of the ECG to check their consumption of electricity power both daily and monthly on a periodic chart. Clients can also pay ECG bills and check the balance on an ECG account.

What meters does it support?

Currently, the app supports prepaid meters, namely:

  • Nuri (Kamstrup)
  • Holley meters
  • Alpha meters
  • MBH meters
  • CLOU meters
  • And all postpaid meters

How to download and use the app?

What do you do after downloading?

  1. Create an account on your ECG Power using your email address and phone number, and activate a password
  2. Afterward, add your first meter by tapping on the (+) sign
  3. You can proceed to add more meters if you have several of them
  4. Choose the Topup module to credit your account
  5. Choose the Pay Bills module to pay for your transaction
  6. Confirm and approve transactions through your Mobile Money
  7. Finalize payment, and you just bought your Prepaid.

Epower

The Epower app, which is available on both Apple and Google Play stores, allows clients of ECG to purchase prepaid electricity nationwide at their convenience.

How to use the app?

To use the app, you must first download and install the application on your smartphone. Then you follow these steps

  1. Sign up as a new user after opening the app. Provide these details: full name, email address, and phone number
  2. Create and confirm a confidential password
  3.  Move on to select “prepaid” fromthe given options
  4. Enter the following details: meter ID, name on the meter, meter’s address, and the amount you want to purchase
  5.  Provide the required information for payment and proceed to finalize payment.

E-Prepaid

E-prepaid is also another online platform that can conveniently allow customers of the ECG to purchase prepaid.

How do you use the app?

  1. Download the E-prepaid app from the Google Play Store or AppStore.
  2. Follow the prompts to register your meter
  3. Link your mobile money and proceed to pay for transactions
  4. Finalize payment to authenticate the purchase.

These are amongst the many ways through which you can simply, conveniently, and calmly purchase electricity prepaid online.
