National Service Personnel: How to Collect Your NSS Certificate with Ease – Simple Procedure

NSS personnel in Ghana

In light of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Service Scheme (NSS) in Ghana has introduced a convenient way for National Service Personnel to collect their certificates.

How to Collect Your NSS Certificate

Rather than the traditional in-person collection, certificates will now be delivered to the doorsteps of the personnel. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to provide the necessary information for certificate delivery:

Step 1: Visit the NSS Certificate Collection Portal

  • Start by visiting the NSS Certificate Collection Portal, through the official link.

Step 2: Enter Your NSS Number

  • Input your NSS number in the designated field.

Step 3: Check and Continue

  • Review your details on the screen and click “Continue” to proceed.

Step 4: Enter Your Digital Address (GPS Address)

  • Enter your digital address (GPS address) in capital letters.

Step 5: Service and Delivery Information

  • In this section, provide the following details:
  • Your area or neighborhood.
  • Closest landmark.
  • City.
  • State/Region.

Step 6: Give Consent

  • Copy and save your Electronic Consent Authorization. Only the NSS personnel themselves should sign this form. Impersonation is a criminal offense and may lead to prosecution.
  • Click “Continue” to proceed.

Step 7: Overview

  • Carefully review all the information you’ve entered in this section.
  • Ensure that all the details are correct.
  • Tick the box to accept the terms and conditions.
  • Click “Continue” to proceed.

Step 8: Payment

  • Upon successful completion of the previous sections, you will receive a congratulatory message indicating that your delivery information has been successfully submitted.
  • You will be notified when your Digital Certificate has been sent to your email and the physical certificate to your address.

How to Print or Download Your NSS Certificate

  • You will receive an email from the NSS with your National Service Digital Certificate attached in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
  • To access your certificate, you must enter a password, which is a combination of your date of birth (as registered with NSS) and the first four letters of your surname in capital letters. For example:
  • If your date of birth is 6th July 1991 and your surname is Mensah, your password would be: 19910706MENS.
  • If your date of birth is 22nd May 1985 and your surname is Aa-ire, your password would be: 19850522AAIR.
  • Ensure that the surname is always typed in capital letters.
  • Enter your password following the provided format to view or download your Digital Certificate.

Please keep your document passwords safe and secure, away from unauthorized individuals. This new certificate collection process offers convenience and safety during these challenging times.
