Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced that they have signed Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United for a fee of £55 million, but the deal is only valid if he gets a work permit.
Kudus has signed a deal that will keep him with the team until June 2031. Tottenham Hotspur is spending a lot of money this transfer season because they want to make their team better with top players.
Mohammed Kudus, who is only 24 years old and had a very good £85 million release clause in his contract, caught Spurs’ eye after they made a better offer than West Ham’s initial £50 million bid.
While he was at West Ham, Kudus had a big impact. He played in 65 Premier League games, scoring 13 goals and helping set up 9 more.
He signed with West Ham in August 2023 for £38 million, which started his trip there. He quickly became a key player.
In his first season, Kudus showed how skilled and flexible he was by scoring 14 goals and setting up 9 others in all competitions.

Kudus told the club’s media team that he was excited and determined to join Spurs: “I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level.
The club is very big, has a long history, and is in the Champions League, so this is a big deal. I’m very happy and can’t wait to get started
This excitement shows how much he wants to help Tottenham reach its goals in both the UK and Europe.
Spurs are also close to signing another big player, along with Kudus. Morgan Gibbs-White, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, is expected to move to Tottenham for £60 million after passing a medical exam this Friday, 11th July. Let’s see how this season goes with their recent signings.
