How many years does it take to study nursing in Ghana?

Certificate programs typically last 2 years. It takes 3 years to complete a diploma program in nursing or midwifery in Ghana. Bachelor’s degree applicants should prepare to clock in about 4 years.

How much does nursing training forms in Ghana?

The cost of nursing training application forms should be from GH¢100.00 to GH¢200.00 now.

Are there nursing schools in Ghana?

Yes, there are nursing schools here in Ghana. The nursing schools in Ghana are broadly classified into tw:o private and public nursing schools in Ghana.

What kind of math do I need for nursing?

A 100-level college math course, such as algebra, is the most common requirement for prospective nurses. Some nursing programs require coursework in statistics and probability, as well. In some nursing degree programs, you may study specialized coursework in medical math.

What is the salary of diploma nurses in Ghana?

Certificate nurses – They earn close to GHS 1500 monthly. Diploma nurses – GHS 1900 to 2400 and above monthly. Degree holders – GHS 2500 and above per month.

How do I apply for nursing college training?

Application Steps:

  1. Purchase a voucher for 100Gh from GCB or ADB.
  2. Visit ‘healthtraining.gov.gh’
  3. Click on Apply located at the top of this page.
  4. Enter the serial and pin found on the voucher.
  5. Fill out the form with your details.
  6. Attach certificate/s and photo.
  7. Submit and print out the application summary.
  8. Check your application with PIN and serial.

What is the cut-off point for nursing training?

A cut-off aggregate score of Forty-Eight (48) or better in six subjects, comprising 3core and 3 elective subjects. A cutoff aggregate score of Thirty (30) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.

Does Legon offer a Degree in nursing?

The School currently runs a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree programme with options in the final year. The options are: Paediatrics Nursing, General Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Community Nursing, and Midwifery. Every academic year has two semesters with 16 weeks in each semester.
