Renowned VGMA awardee, Stonebwoy, has assured fans of his safety and well-being in the wake of rumors circulating at midnight about a reported robbery incident in the US.
Just a few hours after news of the alleged robbery began spreading on social media, the celebrated artist, who clinched the VGMA Artiste of the Year title in 2015, took to his Twitter account, now referred to as X, to address the situation. In his post, he conveyed that all is indeed fine on his end.
Curiously, rather than explicitly confirming or refuting the robbery reports, Stonebwoy utilized his tweet to extend an invitation to music enthusiasts, urging them to join him at his upcoming concert scheduled for tomorrow, August 17, in Atlanta.
In a reassuring tone, he wrote, “I’m very safe and sound!”
Reports had earlier indicated that Stonebwoy and his entourage were allegedly targeted by assailants in Atlanta, Georgia. This incident occurred shortly after the artist shared a video of himself shopping at the well-known Icebox Diamond & Watches store in Atlanta.
The singer is presently in the midst of a tour across the United States, already gracing stages in various locations such as Washington DC, Boston, Hartford Connecticut, and New York City. His next performance is slated for Atlanta.
Adding to his recent achievements, Stonebwoy’s track titled ‘Life & Money’, featuring Stormzy, made a notable entrance onto the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Chart last week. Securing the 47th spot on the chart, this track serves as the flagship song from Stonebwoy’s 2023 album, ‘5TH Dimension’.
This latest accomplishment comes following the release of the 17-track album “5Th Dimension,” which entered the Billboard World Reggae Album chart at an impressive 8th position months ago.
