1. University of Ghana (School Of Communication Studies)

University of Ghana Communication has always been central to how we as humans interact, learn, work, grow, and make a difference in our societies.

Established in 1972, the Department of Communication Studies has a rich history, evolving from the Institute of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Because it is currently classified as a unit under the School of Information and Communication Studies.

The Department offers three graduate degree programmes. Master of Arts in Communication Studies, Master of Philosophy in Communication Studies, and Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Studies.

2. Ghana Institute Of Journalism

The school attracts lecturers and speakers who are experts in the field, as well as students who already work in media and communication, but the Institute offers the following main programmes.

GIJ is the first school of journalism in Ghana and became a pioneer in the sub-Saharan African Region.

A two-year Diploma in Communication Studies, A four/three-year B.A. in Communication Studies, A two-year B.A. in Communication Studies, and a Top-Up Programme for Diploma graduates. A 15-month intensive MA Programme.

3. Islamic University College Ghana (Department Of Communication Studies)

Islamic University College is associated with the School of Information and Communication Studies of the University of Ghana. Which issues certificates for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies degree earned by graduates of the faculty?

The Department of Communication Studies was established in 2011, and it is headed by Mr. Ato Amoaning Annan. The faculty was granted accreditation from January 2011 by the National Accreditation Board to run the Bachelor of Arts programme.

The faculty offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies degree with Journalism, Public Relations, and Advertising options.

4. University Of Education (Department Of Communication And Media Studies)

The Communication programme is designed to utilize the vast resources in teaching and training available at the University of Education to carry on the content and practice of communication.

The programme thus pays attention to the obtaining of skills in the use of language and the function communication. Their programme offers courses in Business Management such as Business Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, and Public Speaking.
