MoE Discloses Date For Release of 2023 School Placement for BECE students

According to an official from the Ministry of Education, the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal will be activated late November or the early days of December this year for students who recently sat for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). This online platform will allow these students to check their school placement.

During a discussion with the Ministry, it was revealed that significant steps have been taken to ensure a seamless and successful placement of the 2023 BECE graduates into different second-cycle schools. The spokesperson gave assurance that their outfit has implemented adequate measures to guarantee a smooth transition for these students.

The Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, also made an important announcement regarding the security of the 2023 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal. He revealed that the portal has been fortified with a firewall as a measure to safeguard the sensitive data and personal information of students and parents who utilize the system.

How to Check School Placement

  • Visit the CSSPS portal
  • Click on check placement
  • Enter your Index number
  • Enter your 10-digit E-voucher pin and
  • Enter your 5-digit PIN code
  • Click on Proceed and wait a few minutes for the next window to display your school placement.

Self-placement Option

  • Visit the CSSPS portal
  • Then select the check placement module on the left-hand side
  • Enter your BECE Index Number (eg. 100000000023) and
  • Enter your 10-digit E-voucher pin and
  • Enter your 5-digit PIN code
  • Click on Proceed to be redirected to the self-placement module
  • When redirected successfully to the Self-placement module, you will be provided with a selection of schools to pick from based on the aggregate or grade you had in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
  • Choose carefully your desired second-cycle school
  • Choose your residential preference (Day/Boarding).
  • Select your programme of choice

After doing all the necessary checks, confirm and print. Remember that once you have completed the selection process, it can not be undone or changed

The 2023 school placement of Junior High School students who sat for the BECE will be out soon. The Second cycle school placements are expected to be released either today or late November,”
