NSS Releases First Batch of Postings for 2023: Printing Appointment Letters & Deadline

Editorial
1 October 2023
National Service Personnels

The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has officially released the first batch of postings for the 2023/2024 service year.

This momentous step marks the commencement of the mandatory one-year national service for a total of 122,275 National Service Personnel. These individuals will be actively contributing to various sectors of Ghana’s economy during this crucial period.

A Message from NSS Management

A press statement, signed and issued by Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi, the Executive Director of the NSS, has clarified the nature of these postings. The statement underscores that these postings are in line with the national service requirements for the 2023/2024 service year. Importantly, the NSS has also assured that the second batch of postings will be made available in due course.

Validation and Registration Process

All National Service Personnel selected in this first batch are urged to follow a structured validation and registration process. This process is outlined as follows:

1. Checking Placement

  • Visit the official NSS website at www.nss.gov.gh to verify your placement.

2. Printing the Appointment Letter

  • Upon successful placement verification, print the appointment letter.

3. Appointment Scheduling

  • Book an appointment online to specify the date and time for your registration after obtaining an endorsed appointment letter.

4. Registration at NSS Regional Centers

  • Attend the assigned NSS Regional Validation and Registration Centre with your endorsed appointment letter and a valid Ghana Card to complete the registration process.

Date NSS Personnel will Start Working.

The regional validation and registration process is set to commence on Monday, October 16, 2023, at designated centers across the nation. Subsequently, the 2023/2024 National Service Year will officially kick off on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

In a clear directive, NSS management emphasizes their non-support for changes in postings once they have been assigned. They sternly caution National Service Personnel against engaging with faceless individuals or groups that may promise to alter their postings.

How to Print NSS Appointment Letters

For those seeking to print their NSS Appointment Letters for the 2023/2024 service year, a straightforward process is in place:

  • Visit the NSS online portal at https://portal.nss.gov.gh/.

The emphasis on adherence to the validation and registration process ensures a smooth transition into their roles.

As the service year commences on November 1, 2023, NSS management extends its best wishes to all deployed personnel as they undertake their civic and patriotic responsibilities in the service of Mother Ghana.
