This comprehensive guide will walk you through everything you need to know about UG admission forms, application requirements, and the application process.

UG Admissions Form 2023/2024

The University of Ghana (Legon) has officially released the admission forms for the 2023–2024 academic year. If you’ve been eagerly waiting to join this prestigious institution, now is your chance.

The admission forms are available online at www.ug.edu.gh, and the application process will commence in April 2023. Mark your calendar for the application closing date, which has been set between June 30th and July 31st, 2023.

As you embark on this exciting journey of applying to UG, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the admission requirements. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have at least three credits (A1–C6 in WASSCE and A – D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science (for Science-related programs) or Social Studies (for non-Science-related programs), along with three relevant elective subjects.

Wondering about the cost of the UG admission form? For Ghanaian applicants, the e-voucher is priced at GH¢220.00, while international applicants can obtain it for $110.

UG Application Procedure

Are you ready to start your application? Here’s a step-by-step guide to ensure a successful application process:

  1. Visit the UG admission portal at www.ug.edu.gh and click on the ‘Apply Button’ or access it directly at https://ug.edu.gh/admission.
  2. Purchase an e-voucher from any of the listed vendors. Clearly indicate whether you’re applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate program.
  3. Log in using the provided voucher SERIAL and PIN.
  4. Choose your mode of entry and indicate your entry type (e.g., Post WASSCE/SSCE, Post Diploma, Matured, etc.). Click Submit to start your application.
  5. Complete the application form by attaching a passport picture. Ensure that your picture is in .jpg,.jpeg ,.png, or.gif format and doesn’t exceed 100KB in size.
  6. You can save your application for editing later by clicking the “SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER” button.
  7. When you’re ready, click the “SUBMIT AND PRINT” button. This action will generate a reference number that will be sent to your provided phone number. Accuracy is crucial at this stage, as changes after submission are not allowed.
  8. Track and print the filled-out application form.

Where to Buy UG Legon Admission Application Forms

For Ghanaian applicants, UG admission application vouchers can be purchased via USSD directly from their phones by dialing *887*18#. Alternatively, e-vouchers are available at the following banks:

  • Access Bank
  • Ecobank
  • Republic Bank
  • Agricultural Development Bank
  • Ghana Commercial Bank
  • Zenith Bank
  • Universal Merchant Bank
  • Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG)
  • Prudential Bank
  • Fidelity Bank

International applicants can pay their application processing fee into the University of Ghana ECOBANK Account. Details are provided for both local and international applicants.

  • Your names on certificates and other registration documents must match.
  • You must be at least sixteen years old to be eligible.
