Meet Hon. Abdul Razak Hussein – The Man Poised to Transform Madina

Editorial

Abdul Razak Hussein

At 41, Hon. Abdul Razak Hussein is no stranger to the people of Madina. Born and raised right in the heart of the community, he has spent over two decades serving both his party, the NDC, and the wider Madina constituency with dedication and humility. Now, many believe he’s the right man to lead the municipality as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

Grassroots Leadership with a Track Record

Razak Hussein’s political journey started in 2001 as a branch secretary, a role he held for 17 years. He later became Constituency Secretary in 2014, a position he still holds. Over the years, he has also served as a polling agent, deputy elections director, and currently, Secretary to the Constituency Elections Directorate.

This long history of service speaks to one thing: he understands the grassroots, and he knows how to organize, mobilize, and lead.

A Unifier Across Communities

What sets Hon. Razak apart is his ability to connect. From working with chiefs, Imams, and pastors to building strong ties with Sarikis, youth groups, security agencies, and even communities in hard-to-reach areas, his leadership style is inclusive and people-centered. He’s known for his calm demeanor, listening ear, and open-door approach.

A Clear Vision for Madina

If appointed MCE, Hon. Razak plans to tackle the real challenges facing residents, especially infrastructure and basic services. His priorities include improving inner roads, fixing drainage issues, and tiling key areas to ensure both durability and beautification.

But it’s not just about roads, he’s also focused on economic empowerment, particularly for party foot soldiers, branch executives, and the youth who drive local development.

With a solid background in electoral strategy, community engagement, and local governance, Hon. Razak Hussein brings a rare combination of experience and vision. He knows Madina’s problems because he has lived them, and he’s committed to working with all stakeholders to find real solutions.

As Madina looks to the future, many believe it’s time for a leader who truly understands the heartbeat of the community. Hon. Abdul Razak Hussein may just be that leader, grounded, capable, and ready to deliver.
