Popular Kumawood figure, Lil Win, takes an unexpected step into the realm of politics, revealing his intention to vie for the parliamentary seat in the Afigya Kwabre South constituency.

Lil Win, known in the entertainment industry as Kwadwo Nkansah, plans to pursue his political ambition as an independent candidate within the Ashanti Region. You should know by now that the local chiefs and elders inspired his political bid.

During an interview on Accra-based Okay FM, the actor shares that the local chiefs initially approached him last year with the proposition of standing as an independent candidate for the parliamentary seat.

The chiefs and leaders’ determination to endorse the actor’s candidacy intensified after the release of his recent movie, ‘Mr. President.’

His family members, including his mother and uncle, stand firmly behind Lil Win’s decision to run for the parliamentary seat, strengthening his resolve to enter politics.

Initially hesitant about entering the political sphere, he narrates how the continuous encouragement from chiefs and local leaders eventually convinced him to leap.

The renowned actor discloses that the chiefs pledged to provide him with an English language tutor to enhance his communication skills, ensuring effective engagement.

He highlights his aim to unite fans across different political affiliations.

Lil Win’s Vision for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency

Addressing the constituency’s challenges, the movie star emphasizes his dedication to addressing the struggles faced by local youth, particularly those dealing with substance abuse.

He focuses on job creation as a strategy to alleviate hardships faced by the younger generation, aiming to steer them away from negative behaviors associated with unemployment.
