Kelvynboy, the Ghanaian Afrobeat artist, has expressed concerns about the music industry in Ghana, describing it as a challenging and sometimes hostile environment, often fueled by industry conflicts.
He took to his Twitter account to convey that many artists, including himself, pursue music primarily as a means of livelihood, rather than for deeper reasons. He urged everyone in the industry to prioritize peace and love.
Kelvynboy’s remarks follow the sudden and mysterious death of Nigerian musician MohBad, who had reportedly faced harassment from fellow industry members, leading to speculation about foul play
KelvynBoy himself faced controversies, notably with his former record label, Burnington Music Group, which terminated his contract due to his conduct in 2019.
In 2020, he was allegedly assaulted by a man claimed to be Stonebwoy’s former bodyguard and some Ashiaman residents.
Music has always been a deadly business! Makes no sense Chale…and it always starts with this useless beef.
We’re only trying to make a living out of what we love. It shouldn’t be that deep bro. Fill the game with love now❗️
