Ghanaian Dancehall sensation, Stonebwoy, has shed light on the reasons behind his absence from the highly-anticipated AfroNation event in Detroit, USA, scheduled for Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Taking to Twitter, the acclaimed BET Award winner disclosed that an unexpected change in his set time was the culprit. He expressed that this shift posed challenges, affecting his ability to deliver the outstanding performance his fans deserved. Stonebwoy emphasized that providing his best performance was his top priority.
In a heartfelt message, Stonebwoy extended his gratitude to the fans who had eagerly anticipated his performance. He vowed to make it up to them, promising to find a way to connect and provide the memorable performance they had been looking forward to.
The earlier circulating reports on social media, suggesting that Stonebwoy’s absence was due to a feud led by Nigerian gatekeepers, were echoed by Stonebwoy’s manager.
Stonebwoy was the sole Ghanaian artist on the AfroNation lineup, alongside other notable acts like Davido, P Square, Coi Leray, Teni, and more.
In his Twitter post, Stonebwoy expressed his regrets and appreciation: “Dear Beloved Fans, Unfortunately, there was an unexpected change in our set time at Afronation… Thank you for your understanding, your loyalty, and your continued love.”
The next stop on Stonebwoy’s North American Tour is his headline show in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for the upcoming Friday. Fans eagerly await his next performance, hoping for an unforgettable experience.
